Practice is a short narrative film that takes place in a traditional all-girls school environment; however, the students are heavily surveilled using body cameras pinned to their uniform. The story is centered around two students who, after a moment of sexual exploration, face mounting pressure from their environment to sacrifice friendship for survival.
Two Birds explores the psychological effects of solitary confinement and pulls the larger matrix of gender and domesticity into focus. Trapped in a sort of domestic hellscape, the characters must find ways to survive. The two characters develop diverging approaches to their circumstances but converge at a point of emotional vulnerability. As a relationship forms between them, solidarity emerges as the only emancipatory force in sight.
Puff Puff Politics is a comedic, short documentary that examines the social dynamics and expectations that emerge within a group of friends when smoking weed becomes the centerpiece of social ritual.
